2020 Fishing For Freedom Event

Friday June 5th, 2020
Meet and Greet 4 to 10pm
Grilled pork loins and fried chicken dinner, trapshooting, open archery range
Eagles Club - 3737 North 5th Street, Quincy, Illinois.

Please bring your own bow and arrows; we will provide guns and ammo for the trap shoot.
Live music to follow the Meet and Greet. This is open to all Warriors, all Boaters, and their family members.

Saturday June 6th, 2020
Veterans Home tournament for the Veterans Home residents
9am to 11:30am

Lunch will be available at the Microtel - time TBD

Heroes Banquet starting with the Rules Meeting at 4pm
Opening Ceremonies at 5pm
Dinner served from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
Dinner is followed by raffles and a live auction

Fishing begins at 6am and ends at 12pm (noon)

Weigh-In Starts at 12pm (noon) at each location
Weigh In Locations: Mark Twain Lake, Reregulation Pool Spillway Ramp, Great River Marina - Hamilton (Pool 19-20) and Clat Adams Park (Pool 21-24)
Main weigh-in and awards ceremony at Clat Adams Park

Lodging Information

Lodging requirements for our Warrior participants will be paid for in full by Fishing For Freedom sponsors and donors. Our registration committee will contact you with your lodging information at least one week prior to the event as we will fill rooms based on the information that you have provided during the registration process.

If you have any special needs or accessibility issues, please make sure to make a note of it in the comments block on the registration form. There will be several special needs accessible rooms available.

If your plans change and you are unable to attend the event after making your reservation, please contact our registration committee to cancel your reservation.

Lodging is available for Boaters that live over an hour away from Quincy, Illinois or Mark Twain Lake area at several different hotels in Quincy. Some of the locations are within a block from the Mississippi. You will receive contact information from the registration committee of which hotels we have a block of rooms saved for the event. If you choose to stay in any other hotels or accommodations, you will be responsible for the expenses. Volunteer Boaters are responsible for their lodging expenses and making their individual reservations.
