Please consider making a donation to the Fishing For Freedom - Quincy Event!

It is a great gift that we are given every day to have our freedoms in this wonderful country. That freedom does not come lightly nor is it really free, as we have many brave men and women to thank for this freedom. Let us not let their sacrifice go unnoticed. The Fishing For Freedom - Quincy event that is held annually here in Quincy, Illinois and the Tri-State Area is just a small way that we can honor these brave Warriors and Veterans.

The Fishing For Freedom - Quincy committee is actively looking for donors and sponsors to help cover the costs associated with hosting such an impressive event. Our goal is to raise enough sponsorship dollars and private donations to pay for the Warriors' lodging expenses, meals, miscellaneous fishing equipment in the form of a goodie bag or bucket, and a few awards and prizes. We also provide our Boaters with a care package as a thank you for volunteering their time and equipment.

The Tri-State area has been terrific in supporting this event for the past 9 years. Each year we have an increasing number of people contact us wanting to be able to help with our event, whether it be monetary support, product donations, or simply volunteering some of their free time, and our event is not possible without them. Every penny that is donated goes directly to support the event. Absolutely no payrolls are paid with these donations. Everyone working this wonderful event is a volunteer who wants to provide a remarkable experience for these American Heroes, but We Need Your Help!

With your support, we have a tremendous opportunity for this event to make a significant impact on each of our Warriors and their family's lives as they attempt to adjust to life back home. Only with your generosity and caring, as well as the generosity and caring of local and regional anglers and sponsors can we make this event possible.

We appreciate any donation that you can give, no amount is too small. $250 pays for one Warrior's expenses for the entire weekend and qualifies as a "boat sponsor". $75 pays his or her hotel bill for a night, $25 pays for his or her meals for the weekend, $7 buys a box of shells for him or her to shoot at the Friday night trapshoot. All donations are used toward the event and every level of support is appreciated.

Become a Sponsor

You may also make a donation by becoming a sponsor.

Are you a business owner who is looking to support an organization that changes the lives of our Veterans and active duty Military personnel? Are you an individual who would like to make a difference and say THANK YOU to those who have served for or are currently working to protect our country? Fishing For Freedom - Quincy operates solely from donations from our generous donors. We do our best to give back to our Warriors to say thank you, and your donation can help us continue to improve our event each year. Fishing For Freedom - Quincy is the largest event of its kind in the United States, and with large numbers of participants come large operations costs.

This event positively affects the lives of everyone involved, and we cannot continue to make a difference without your support. This event would not be possible without a team of caring local and national sponsors and donors.

As one young Army Specialist once said while standing on the Quincy Riverfront at sundown, "I just don't want this day to end."

There are numerous opportunities for you and/or your business to help.

  1. Each Warrior and Boater at our event receives a bag or bucket filled with items which is a great way for a company to showcase their products while supporting a great cause. We have individuals who donate items each year for door prizes, but we are always looking for more items to add to our buckets/bags.
  2. Sponsorship opportunities are available for the awards and plaques for our top fishermen.
  3. Sponsorship opportunities are available for food and drinks for the entire weekend.
  4. Sponsorship opportunities are available for each boat as well.

What Is A Sponsorship?

For your sponsorship, you will receive tremendous personal satisfaction for helping these brave Americans, but in addition to that, your logo will be prominently displayed on the Fishing For Freedom - Quincy website (with links back to your business website), on event signage as well as acknowledgement on our fliers.

With your support, we have a significant opportunity for this event to make a tremendous impact on our Warriors and their family's lives as they attempt to adjust to life back home. Only with your generosity and caring, as well as the generosity and caring of local and regional anglers and sponsors can we make this event possible.

Boat Sponsorship

Boat sponsors are individuals or businesses that believe in this event and being a boat sponsor is a way to show that belief in supporting our event. A Boat Sponsorship is $250, and each boat is sponsored by a business or individual(s). In return, your sponsorship gets you a plaque on our sponsor board at our event which is then given to you after our event for you to display. Boat sponsor money will not go to our Boaters or Volunteers - it goes solely toward the expenses to cover food and lodging costs for our Warriors. Our Boaters donate their time, equipment and fuel to the cause to help make this event a success, so each Boater is also considered a sponsor.
